Nostalgic illustrations by Rachid Lotf
Rachid Lotf is a senior graphic designer and concept artist. Whatever the means used, his art has always been a manifestation of his personal journey. He makes art to encourage people to relive their childhood, cherish their memories, and enjoy their present life. Born in 1984, he began drawing at a very young age.
He has always been passionate about art and all things creative in general, which made it very easy for him to learn by doing. He first drew anime characters, then he was introduced to graffiti. Subsequently, he decided to study visual arts, which led him to begin his career in screen printing and mobile game design.
While playing Mirror's Edge for the first time, he was captivated by the game's ambiance, aesthetics and level design and after playing it for the 25th time in a row, he decided to become a decorator and interior decorator. Although the aesthetic of retro gaming is the main influence in his work, he creates objects that are more than superficially beautiful. He tells stories through his artwork, and that's the most appealing thing about his job.
